Could people on X tracking Emacs 29 (master) please test the XInput 2
support? It replaces the obsolete Core Input API with the XInput 2
X-Windows server extension, which is what applications are supposed to
be using today.

This is an important feature, but it seems that very little people are
using it at present.

Configure with `--with-xinput2', and report any problems you find with
general Emacs use (please send bug reports to bug-report-***@gnu.org).

Thanks.

Also, while at that, please give the new `pixel-scroll-precision-mode' a
spin.

It's still buggy with very large images and overlays, so expect problems
in that area, but otherwise it should work fairly well.

I would be interested in fixes to jumpy scrolling over large images and
performance improvements.

Thanks.
