Hello, I do not know if this is the right group for my request. I just
want to know if it is possible to use BBDB in a normal buffer to create
just a list of names based on the mail aliases and output to the buffer
I'm working on. I use BBDB integrated with gnus or rmail but it
would be very useful for me if I could used it also in a normal text
buffer.

If affirmative, can you please suggest some example I can start with?

Thanks in advance

With GNU Emacs macros you probably can.

But I am a user of EBDB (I have never had BBDB).

Presumably the buffer that it creates for displaying its results is
accessible like any Emacs buffer, and you can use the usual buffer
commands to extract its contents, even if it is readonly.
